Yettel

Yettel telecommunications operators provide innovative and simple solutions in mobile, fixed, and TV services to customers in Hungary, Bulgaria, and Serbia.

Yettel operators maintain leading positions in overall brand and network perception across South-eastern Europe. By the end of 2023, they were serving 10 million customers. Amid competitive and inflationary headwinds, all Yettel operators reported increased revenues and recurring operating profits in 2023.

All Yettel operators regularly earn top accolades in the independent testing conducted by international organisations, including Umlaut and Ookla. These results place Yettel’s mobile networks among the best in Europe.

Telenor CEE

Bulgaria

Measured in terms of total revenue, Yettel Bulgaria is the largest mobile telecommunications provider in Bulgaria. It successfully competes with two other full-scale telecommunications providers while serving 3.2 million customers, equating to a third of the mobile telecommunications market in Bulgaria. In 2023, Yettel maintained its position at the forefront of the Bulgarian mobile market, covering 70% of the population with a 5G network. The company currently sources more than 80% of its electricity demand from a local photovoltaic power plant.

Hungary

Yettel Hungary has 3.7 million customers. It is the country’s second-largest operator in terms of revenue and a market pioneer in mobile broadband technology. The company’s mobile network, covering 100% of the population with 4G connectivity, is rapidly scaling and deploying 5G services capable of two to three times higher data throughput.

Serbia

With a loyal customer base of 3 million users, Yettel Serbia is the country’s most successful mobile telecommunications provider. The company is one of two in the market which offers quad play services – fixed, mobile, home internet, and pay TV. By 2023, after just two years on the market, Yettel’s Hipernet broadband and TV service had reached more than 90,000 household customers. Yettel is Serbia’s pioneer in sustainable operations, having launched the country’s first 100% green mobile network in 2022.
